Brisbane City Council have recently advised that pools at the rear of houses in the Traditional Building Character Overlay inadvertently trigger a town planning application.
Council are reviewing this matter and in the meantime will accept applications for Exemption Certificates and consider a fee waiver.
Unfortunately this will add two to three weeks to the approval process.
