The Brisbane City Council changed its flood level definition on 28 May 2021.
The definition now references the 1% probability of flood instead of the 2011 flood level.
PCG has come across two cases where the 1% flood level is higher than the January 2011 flood level and the minimum habitable floor level has increased by 500 mm.
These changes may impact any new houses subject to the Brisbane River flood level.
