The Greenfield Housing Code becomes mandatory from 6 July 2021.
From this date, all complying development in greenfield areas will be assessed against the Greenfield Code.
The Code contains different requirements to the Housing Code for setbacks and landscaping areas, and also introduces new mandatory requirements for waste management plans and for the planting of trees in the front and rear of properties.
