We are sad to announce the departure of Ain Kuru from Professional Certification Group. Ain stepped back from his role in late 2022 due to poor health and recently resigned as a Director and employee.
Ain was one of the two founding Directors, opening the business in 2010 with a small team in north Brisbane. Since that time, PCG has grown significantly, with additional offices in New South Wales and Victoria. The growth and success of the company is a testament to Ain’s tenacity and dedication, and we would not be in such a strong position without him and his guidance.
Prior to his time with PCG Ain was the Director of Building Codes Queensland, having implemented the private certification system; introduced the Queensland Development Code; and new fire safety standards for budget accommodation buildings amongst other important legislative reforms, helping shape Queensland’s building industry.
Ain has also contributed significantly to the building industry as a long-term member of the Building and Development Tribunals; a Board member of the Housing Industry Association; and Chair of the Association’s Planning and Environment Committee. He also provided advice about swimming pool safety standards through the Swimming Pool and Spa Association.
Whilst we are sad Ain is leaving, we wish to extend our deepest gratitude for his service, not only to our company, but also to the private certification and building industry.
He will be deeply missed and we wish Ain all the best in his future endeavours.
