The case involves an unjustified complaint made by the Sunshine Coast Council that Private Certifier Peter O’Brien issued a building permit for a child care centre prior to operational works approval for the carpark and landscaping. Peter was initially found guilty of unsatisfactory conduct.
The decision was overturned on appeal by QCAT which found that Peter O’Brien did not engage in unsatisfactory conduct.
