The Moreton Bay Council have issued the attached advice in respect of Secondary Dwellings.
To comply with the Secondary Dwelling definition there must be a clear relationship between the primary dwelling and secondary dwelling and it should not be used independently or otherwise function as a dual occupancy.
Please note that uses commencing after 26 February 2021 that are not consistent with the definition may be subject to compliance action, while uses that have commenced prior to this date may also be subject to compliance action where there are adverse amenity impacts.
