Ipswich City Council requires ground and invert levels to be shown in plumbing applications. This is a requirement of the Plumbing Regulations, though this information is generally not considered necessary in residential areas.
Up until now, Ipswich City Council provided this information for an additional $150 when the plumbing application was lodged. However with the transfer of water and sewerage responsibilities to Queensland Urban Utilities, the Council is no longer able to provide this service.
As a result, we must now request this information from Queensland Urban Utilities prior to lodgement of the plumbing application with the Council. Unfortunately this will delay lodgement of the plumbing application by approximately 2 weeks.
Alternatively, this delay can be avoided if the builder is able to provide us with “as constructed” drawings when lodging the building application.
