Transport and Main Roads is remodelling the mapping of state-controlled roads. The new draft Transport Noise Corridors take into account environmental factors such as terrain and noise barriers, as well as traffic volumes, speeds, pavements and heavy vehicle traffic. This will result in a reduction in the number of properties negatively affected by transport noise. Further information about the project can be viewed here.
They are seeking feedback on the draft mapping which can be viewed online at: http://arcg.is/1oIjoBU
